Not everything that is faced can be changed,
but nothing can be changed until it is faced

(James Baldwin)

About Me

By reading this you are taking an important step to feel more whole.  I look forward to getting to know you better and beginning our counseling relationship.  At Whole Child Whole Adult Counseling I strive to be highly culturally humble, culturally respectful and culturally competent.  I make every effort to ensure you are treated with empathy, respect and dignity and that all aspects of your identity (e.g., race, gender, class, LGBTQIA status, etc.) are viewed from a place of strength.  I provide individual and couples therapy, primarily for adults.  My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.  I also focus on supporting individuals who are navigating cross-cultural issues and inter-racial relationships.

Throughout my 20-year career I have worked to dismantle systemic oppression–with individuals and across systems impacting thousands of people.  The pandemic, racial reckoning and economic disruption has made this work even more important and pressing, as all three of these can negatively impact mental health.  When our mental health is impacted, it makes it harder to bring our true and authentic selves to our families, our communities and to our work.  I thrive on helping others build their resiliency and enhancing their hope–especially when current environments can feel bleak.  Thank you for taking the time to review my practice.
